Isa “Bad Bitch” Pavon Ortiz’s paintings are full of flowers, saturated colors, and the occasional sassy phrase. Her body of work is resplendent with symbols of beauty, love, and pride in herself and her cultural heritage. Isa is inspired by the natural world and often creates landscapes which depict utopian scenes of nature in a lush, joyous state. Her paintings reflect her feelings and always carry layers of meaning. Her alter ego, “Roxy” is sometimes credited as the artist of her pieces, creating a playfully ambiguous state of authorship.
